Starbucks Quietly Discontinued a Popular Menu Item

Recently, Starbucks let down its customers by botching a Black Friday promotion, leaving them with the impression that they had been tricked. However, those who attempted to place an order for a well-known Christmas favorite from the largest coffee company in the United States of America were met with even greater dismay.

It has been many weeks since the holiday menu additions for this year were introduced; yet, fans are just now starting to become aware of the fact that the Eggnog Latte has been removed from the menu for the first time in three years. The long-standing favorite was originally offered to the public in 1986, as stated by Starbucks; hence, the absence of this item on the seasonal menu for this year is felt by Starbies all over the world.

According to a statement that was provided to Thrillist by a Starbucks spokesperson, the absence of the beverage was confirmed. The statement was about the company’s choice to eliminate the eggnog. “As a standard course of business, we continually evaluate the items on our menu, using various criteria to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers and our business priorities,” according to the press release. “While we no longer offer the Eggnog Latte, our partners will be happy to recommend an alternative beverage or customization.”

In a nutshell, Starbucks has come to the realization that we have moved on from the traditional eggnog and are now looking for more fascinating novelties, such as the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte, Peppermint Mocha, or Caramel Brulée Latte, all of which have been introduced over the holiday season.

Complaints and criticism on the decision to eliminate Eggnog Latte started coming in around a month ago, and they have not stopped being received since then.
